Architecture, as a vessel for living, exudes endemic qualities of spatial immersion, which can afford placefulness: a world in which to be. Living is an atmospheric and sensory reception that flows through time. An architecture of living holds a memory of its inhabitants - and activities and events that occurred there. To dwell, to live in one’s home, is this visceral interconnection between one’s self and one’s space. Whether it be affordable, higher-ed, or market-rate housing, an understanding of these relationships is emblematic of project success. With changing expectations of a 21st-century generation, our exploration of space begins with the most fundamental building blocks of the domestic experience: space and furniture – ensuring an unimpeded optimal use of space.
