Murphy Academic Support Center
The newly created Murphy Academic Support Center opened for Tiffin University Students in the fall of 2014. The 6,000 sq. ft. Tiffin University Student Success Center was developed to help students become more effective and efficient learners. It provides access to academic support and tutoring services.
The new facility was created as an addition to the existing Pfeiffer Library and houses offices for tutors and success coaches to meet individually with students, a conference room for group tutorials and group study room, and a classroom to be used for seminars and workshops related to study skills, career development, and other academic support services, as well as for various classes. The facility also features open areas with computers for use by students.
Primary entrance to the Murphy Center with a slight ramp access from the pedestrian sidewalk.
The exterior facades of the building are made of brick that matches the existing brick on campus, while the cornice pays tribute the its historical neighbor.
The east facade of the Murphy Center has a large double arched opening that allows views into / out of the Library and Learning Suites.
