Student Housing and Residence Center
This new student housing complex is built on property located just to the north of the existing university housing north building. The building is designed using a “pod” concept where student sleeping rooms share common living/lounge spaces, restrooms, and a kitchenette. Building common areas include a lobby lounge, cafe/retail space, fitness rooms, laundry, game rooms, and conference space. The building also features a basement that will house mechanical services as well as providing working space for the resident architecture students.
The new facility is 47,545 sq. ft. with five pods with 16 double-occupancy units. Each pod will have its own common lounge with fireplace and kitchenette spaces with appliances. The building is designed to encourage students to be out of their rooms with space for interaction and collaboration.

The building is designed around a 'pod'-cluster concept, which features a cluster of rooms which surround a central common living space. This arrangement encourages students to leave their rooms and interact.
