Meet Jessica

Jessica Horstkotte joined MKC IN 2020 after relocating from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a registered architect and brings with her a wealth of experience in higher education, performing arts, and community center projects. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Bowdoin College as well as dual master’s degrees in Architecture and Metropolitan Design from the University of Minnesota, where she later taught. In addition to teaching, Jessica has presented at several conferences on her research on business models and social impact design.

In the role of project architect, Jessica demonstrates an aptitude for leadership, communication, and creative organizational thinking. She brings significant contributions that advance the architectural merits of her projects along with a commitment to social impact design, and an uncanny ability to translate design goals into creative solutions for a wide range of project types. Embracing the firm's thinker/doer/manager model she expertly leads projects from conceptual design through construction, overseeing all aspects of work to ensure seamless delivery.
